Getting set up, what each page is for, and how to reach a human when something is wrong.

Getting started

  1. Sign in. Discord, or a recovery code if you would rather not use Discord at all. Either way there is no password and no email address.
  2. Use it straight away. The GE Flipper, Alch Finder, Skilling Profit and Watchlist need nothing from you but a cash stack — they read live market prices.
  3. Connect the plugin when you want the journal to fill itself in. Without it you can still record trades by hand on the Trade Journal page; with it, your real fills arrive on their own.

Connecting the RuneLite plugin

  1. Install the OSRS Toolkit Sync plugin in RuneLite. Installation instructions live with the plugin itself: github.com/Wolklaw/osrs-toolkit-runelite.
  2. On your profile, choose Get a token and copy the token it shows you.
  3. In RuneLite, open the plugin's settings and paste it into Pairing token under Connection.
  4. Switch on Send to OSRS Toolkit Sync. Leave Service address alone unless you run the sync service yourself.
  5. Under What to record, pick what you want sent: Track Grand Exchange fills, Track player trades, and Sync gear and bank for PvM readiness. All three are yours to leave off.
  6. Play. Your fills appear under RuneLite Activity, and positions open on the Dashboard, the next time a page loads.

For PvM Readiness specifically, turn on Sync gear and bank for PvM readiness and then open your bank in game once — that is the moment the snapshot is taken.

Connecting the desktop app

Optional, and separate from the plugin above. This points the Windows app at your account here so its journal — manual trades and tracked positions — mirrors this one, and so it can show live Grand Exchange state without going near the plugin's files directly. Signed out, the desktop app is unaffected and stays exactly as it always was: a local journal on your PC.

  1. On your profile, under Desktop app, choose Get a token and copy it. This is a different credential from the plugin's pairing token above — it is what proves the desktop app to your account, not what feeds the sync service.
  2. In the desktop app, open Settings → Website and paste it in.
  3. Leave the website address as it is unless you are running your own copy of RuneScope.
  4. A trade recorded in either place reaches the other within a minute, sooner if the desktop window is the one in front. Deleting a trade in one removes it from both.

Lost a token, or replacing a PC? Revoke the old one from your profile and mint a new one — nothing already synced is lost by doing that.

What each page is for

  • Dashboard — open positions, your live Grand Exchange slots, and net worth over time. This is also where you record what a position actually filled at.
  • GE Flipper — what to buy right now with the cash and free slots you have. "Track" turns a suggestion into a position in your journal.
  • Watchlist — items you want to keep an eye on whether or not they clear the flipper's bar.
  • Alch Finder — what is worth high-alching today, after nature runes and after what it costs to buy.
  • Skilling Profit — gathering and processing methods priced off the live market, with a hiscores lookup to mark what you can actually do.
  • Trade Journal — flips completed outside the plugin, recorded by hand.
  • RuneLite Activity — the raw feed of what the plugin has sent.
  • Buy Limits — how much of each item you can still buy this window.
  • Performance — which strategies and items actually made you money, and where your plans and your results parted company.
  • PvM Readiness — your gear, bank and levels against boss checklists.
  • Savings Goal — one target, and an honest estimate of how far off it is.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need the plugin?

No. Everything that reads the market — the GE Flipper, Watchlist, Alch Finder and Skilling Profit — works with nothing connected. The plugin only saves you typing: it is what fills the journal, the live offer slots, the buy-limit counter and PvM Readiness in automatically.

Why do prices look out of date?

Two different clocks. The price pill in the header says when this server last fetched the market — press it to fetch again. "Age" on an item says when that item last actually traded, which for a quiet item can be hours ago no matter how fresh the fetch was.

A suggested flip didn't fill at the suggested price.

Expected, unfortunately. Every price here is a completed transaction, not an offer sitting on the book. Nothing can promise the next offer fills at the last one's price — that is why the flipper weighs volume and recency into a confidence figure instead of pretending otherwise.

How does the GE tax get counted?

Two percent of the sale price, rounded down, capped at 5,000,000 gp — the same rule the game uses. It is taken out of every margin, profit and ROI figure on the site, so what you read is what lands in your coin pouch.

I play several accounts. Do they get mixed together?

No. Each character the plugin reports is kept separate, and the switcher in the header picks which one you are looking at. Manual trades can be attributed to a character you name yourself on your profile. A savings goal is deliberately the exception — it counts everything, because it is a target for you, not for one account.

What happens if I lose my recovery code?

The account is gone. The code is never stored — only a hash of it — which is exactly what makes it work with no email address behind it, and exactly why nothing can recover one. If that worries you, sign in with Discord instead.

Can I use this alongside the desktop app?

Yes — connect it from your profile under Desktop app and paste the token into the desktop app's Settings → Website tab. From then on the two share one journal: a trade recorded in either place reaches the other within a minute. Leave it disconnected and the desktop app works exactly as it always has, entirely on your PC.

Can I get my data out?

Yes, any time: export your journal as CSV. It is the whole thing — tracked positions and manual trades both — not just whatever table you happen to be looking at.

Can this get me banned?

It does not play the game, send input, touch the client, or read anything the game does not already show you on screen. The plugin runs inside RuneLite, which Jagex permits, and only reports events after they have happened. See About for the full statement.
