RuneLite plugin
The companion plugin fills your journal in by itself. Here is how to get it.
Install it
It's on the RuneLite Plugin Hub, so this is a two-minute job inside RuneLite itself. Nothing to download from here, and nothing to build.
- Open RuneLite the way you normally play.
- Click the wrench icon in the sidebar on the right.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Plugin Hub.
- Search for OSRS Toolkit Sync and press Install.
RuneLite shows a warning before it installs, saying the plugin submits your IP address and may submit account data to a server RuneLite doesn't control. That server is this site, and the warning is accurate. Here's exactly what gets sent, and how long it's kept.
Just merged, so give the Hub a little while if it doesn't turn up in the list yet. RuneLite refreshes its plugin list on its own schedule, and restarting the client is usually enough to hurry it along.
Updates come down through the Hub from now on. You don't have to come back here for them. The source is on GitHub if you want to read what you're installing.
Turn it on
- Get a token. Sign in here first, then on your profile press Get a token and copy it.
- Open the plugin's panel. It adds its own icon to RuneLite's sidebar (not the wrench) — click it to open OSRS Toolkit Sync.
- Paste the token into the field there and press Connect (or Enter). The panel answers right there: green if the token was accepted, red with what to do if it wasn't.
- Switch on "Send to OSRS Toolkit Sync". That's the master switch, in the plugin's settings (the wrench icon). Nothing gets sent before it's on.
- Pick what to record. Under What to record you'll find Grand Exchange fills, player trades, gear and bank for PvM Readiness, valuable loot, and deaths. Leave off whatever you don't want tracked.
Play, and your fills will show up under RuneLite Activity, with positions opening on the Dashboard. For PvM Readiness, switch on the gear and bank option, then open your bank in game once. That's when the snapshot gets taken.
If nothing arrives
- Your Dashboard says Idle when the token is saved but nothing's being sent. Either RuneLite's closed, or the master switch is off.
- The plugin's sidebar panel says whether a pairing token was accepted, right when you paste it in.
- Events are not lost when the service is unreachable. They queue in
.runelite/osrs-toolkit/eventsand go out when it is back. - Still stuck? How to reach me.
